Tierra de Cádiz PGI Reserva wine from Miguel Domecq winery which offers a pleasant balance between Syrah and Merlot grapes.
Alhocen Syrah-Merlot 2010 Reserva red wine originates in the Alhocen vineyards adjacent to the Entrechuelos vineyard in Miguel Domecq’s estate in the proximity of the Guadalete river. An area of great natural beauty, with irregular orography and full of indigenous trees such as wild olive trees, olive trees, holm oaks, carob trees, pine trees, as well as thick bushes harbouring wildlife species. The estate has an Almohad tower and its disposition favours the poniente (west wind) rich in humidity and sea salt, whereas the dry east winds are stopped by natural vegetal windbreakers.
This wine has an intense, bright dark cherry colour and purplish hues. On the nose ripe red fruit aroma, spices, wood, dark chocolate and balsamic notes. It is smooth, appetising and with sweet tannins on the palate. Pairs well with meats, legume stews, game birds and mature cheeses
