Jorge Ordóñez Botani Espumoso Sparkling Wine from Andalusia.
A sparkling wine from the Axarquía region in Malaga, a project which selects the best Muscat of Alexandria stocks located in north-facing steep slopes of Almáchar with an altitude of 600 and 800 metres. It is manually harvested in small boxes of 10 kgs, uphill, and transported using mules so that the berry comes in a perfect state into the winery.
The label of Botani Espumoso is a tribute to Biznaga, bunch of artisanal jasmine flowers traditionally sold in Malaga for centuries. Each flower is carefully grafted, one by one in order to form a bunch. Botani Espumoso reflects every detail of this honourable centuries-old tradition. Every bunch of grape is handpicked in order to create a vibrant sparkling wine which explodes on the palate and overflows a glass with exotic floral aromas.
The Botani Espumoso sparkling muscatel is a Spanish reaction to Moscato wines from the north of Italy. It is one of the first sparkling wines produced in Malaga with a low alcohol content, grand, fresh bubbles which sublimate a fluoride hint and exotic aroma. This wine has a good quantity of residual sugar. However, the acidity equilibrates the sugar, resulting in a magnificent, crunchy and sparkling fruit cocktail that the customer will love.
Botani Espumoso was served in the Golden Awards Gala 2013 of the Instituto Español Reina Sofía in New York, where awards were granted to stateswoman Hillary Clinton and the actor Antonio Banderas.
